100 g almonds, blanched
30 g cocoa nibs
200 g dried figs
1-3 tbsp water
30 g Whey Protein Chocolate by foodspring
coconut flakes

Preparing the protein energy balls

  • Quickly soften the figs and almonds in some hot water and then strain them.
  • Put the almonds into a blender and blend.
  • Cut the figs into pieces and add to the mix, then blend and add some water if necessary.
  • Add the cocoa nibs and whey protein and blend again.
  • Form the dough into little balls and roll in the desiccated coconut.


You can use any other dried fruit as a base – like dates, apricots or plums.
