Ingredients:

150 g walnuts (soaked in water overnight)
200 g dates, cored and dried
40 g raw cocoa powder
1 pinch of salt
1 vanilla pod

Preparing the raw energy balls

  • Wash the already softened walnuts with fresh water, then grind them in a food processor.

  •  Cut the vanilla pod lengthways with a sharp knife and scrape out the vanilla pulp with a teaspoon.

  •  Now add the dates, cocoa powder, salt and vanilla pulp to  the already ground walnuts and mix it all together into a uniform dough.

  •  Make little balls out of the finished dough and roll them in cocoa powder if you like. Alternatively, you can also use dessicated coconut or chopped nuts.

  •  Then just put the raw energy balls into the fridge for approx. a half hour.

The number of energy balls will vary depending on their size.
