Eat your greens! These green matcha pancakes make breakfast into the most interesting meal of the day. There’s never been as many nutrients in a breakfast before. The proteins and antioxidants along with matcha’s dose of caffeine will get your engines revving.

Preparation

  • Add the Protein Pancakes mix, matcha powder and Flavor Kick to a bowl. Mix well.
  • Add the milk and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.
  • Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat until it melts. Pour the pancake batter into 4 equally-sized pancakces.
  • Serve the matcha pancakes with the toppings of your choice.
  • Enjoy!

What is matcha?

Matcha is ground green tea. The powder is popular in Japan, where it is mixed with hot water and enjoyed as a tea. Another favorite use is in a matcha latte, which is a matcha tea mixed with hot or cold milk. Matcha's high caffeine content gives it a stimulating effect. But apart from the energy boost, matcha also contains healthy vitamins and antioxidants, making it a real superfood.
